Roots Music Barrie is excited to welcome back Canadian icon Valdy on Saturday Nov. 14. 

Folk legend Valdy has 16 albums, 22 singles and four gold records. He has won two Juno awards and is one of the country’s purest and most credible storytellers.

Valdy has toured Canada close to 50 years, and plays regularly in New Zealand with Kiwi mate Graham Wardrop. He has also toured Austria, Denmark, Germany, Holland, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland, and was an oft-invited performer at the Kerrville Folk Festival in Texas. He was invested as a member of the Order of Canada in 2012.

He’s a master of country, folk, rock and blues, and his shows are a disarming and practical blend of respect for the audience and show business.

Concert details

The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. and takes place at Burton Avenue United Church (37 Burton Ave., Barrie). Doors open at 7 p.m. Please arrive promptly as latecomers will be seated during an appropriate break between songs.

TICKETS

Tickets are $35 (plus service charge). They are non-refundable, but are transferable. PLEASE NOTE: Online ticket sales end at noon on Nov. 14. If not sold out, there may be limited tickets available at the door for $45 (cash only). Seating is general admission.
