Michi (often known as Seriously Michi) is a Toronto-based Latina comedian, producer, and content creator known for her sharp, high-energy stand-up and storytelling rooted in personal experience, identity, and relationships. She is also the founder of Maracas Media, a production company that highlights diverse comedy talent in the Canadian stand-up scene. Performing regularly across Toronto venues such as Yuk Yuk’s and independent comedy showcases, Michi has built a reputation for blending humour with commentary on self-worth, dating, cultural identity, and life as a “corporate survivor.” Her comedic style is bold, fast-paced, and conversational, often mixing self-reflection with audience interaction. In addition to stand-up, she produces live comedy events like the “JaJaJa Show,” which spotlights Latino comedians in Toronto’s growing comedy community. Active under the handle @seriouslymichi across social media, she shares clips, sketches, and promotional content that has helped expand her audience beyond live performances.
