Falset is a Canadian modern hard rock and metal band formed around 2017 in Ontario, known for blending melodic rock hooks with heavy metalcore and djent-inspired instrumentation. The group combines clean, emotional vocals with harsh vocal elements, creating a dynamic contrast supported by technical guitar work, punchy bass lines, and fast, rhythmically complex drumming. Their sound sits between progressive metal and modern alternative metal, often shifting between atmospheric melodies and aggressive breakdowns. The band’s lineup includes Zach Copeland (vocals/guitar), Braeden Kozy (guitar), Riley Fields (bass), and Chance LaBrie (drums), and they gained early attention through independent releases and touring support slots with larger rock acts. Falset released their debut album We Follow or Lead the Way in 2020, followed by Monarch, which helped establish their presence in the Canadian hard rock scene. Active from the late 2010s through the 2020s, the band has continued to grow their audience through festival appearances, touring, and consistent new music releases, building a reputation for high-energy live performances and a modern, genre-blending approach to heavy music.
